I am a prospective buyer - just drove one for the first time and loved it. Can I expect to get good mileage out of a set of tires ?

A lot depends on the type of tire on your mini. If they are the run-flats, then will wear quicker (many BMW owners claim in less than 1/2 normal tires) & cost almost double to replace. If regular tires, then you should have no complaints from such a small car...unless an agressive driver with a Cooper S & performance tires.

I would agree that tire rotation plays a large part. I also have a full set of snow tires on rims so I use them for about 4 months a year as well which saves wear/tear on regular tires.

My Cooper S has 11,000 miles and the tires show little wear. I rotated at 7,500 and believe that's the key to long tire life.
