MINI USA reported a 20 percent increase in January sales, to 2,460 cars
compared to 2,050 cars sold in the same period a year ago.

Looks like the Mini is getting popular.

In 2008, 4000+ units sold in Canada, one of 2 Mini dealerships in West Coast (Vancouver) sold 400 of them. In the recent local resale market, there are a couple of hundreds of them of various trims on sale, thus driving wholesale and retail values. On dealer has rows and rows of low end 2008 mini's on its lot. In a few months, they will worth next to nothing as ONLY cash deal and bank financing (8%) as no more special lease rate to move them out. Ouch!!

I am really thinking abut getting one. With over 40-42 mpg.... It beats my Grand Prix with 25-26 mpg. Also the less weight may help.
