Oil in the ground is not equipment nor should it be treated the same. There is no iron depletion allowance for iron mines nor a gravel depletion allowance given to gravel pits. Its a special subsidy given only to oil and gas companies. Besides you didn't want to talk about the severe underpayment given the value of a lease for oil or gas on federal lands versus that given to a private landowner. That is far more than a paltry $1 billion. Just calculate any given year and you see its far more. Total subsidies are over $300 billion last year to oil and gas. That is a fact. Look it up.
